Write a profile that invites a real conversation

Turn a short introduction into a useful picture of your interests and dating style.

Start with an everyday detail

Give someone a small glimpse of your life: a meal you enjoy cooking, music you return to or how you spend a free afternoon. Concrete details create better openings than a list of broad adjectives. Choose information you are comfortable making visible.

Add an invitation to reply

Finish with a question that feels easy to answer. “Which place would you choose for a quiet coffee?” gives a conversation a direction. Avoid turning your introduction into demands about someone’s body, gender expression or personal history.

Read it as a new visitor

Check that your words and photographs represent you today. Remove contact details you would rather share later and check the small-screen layout. A short, clear introduction is easier to respond to than repeated keywords or claims that you can offer the perfect date.
